Whether you are considering Hornington Manor as your potential wedding venue, or have already booked with us, you probably have a few questions. How many guests can Hornington Manor sleep?

Hornington Manor has 19 bedrooms, sleeping up to 44 guests across five different areas of the Manor. There are now also 8 additional individually designed shepherd huts, sleeping a further 16 guests.

Yes, we have two cots available. Please ensure you request these from the team at least two weeks in advance.

Unfortunately we cannot allow camping because we are set in the grounds of a working farm.

There is a ground floor bedroom in the Servants’ Quarters which is wheelchair accessible.

Yes there is a wide range of additional accommodation in the area that we own. Please look at the Additional Accomodation Page for more information.

For weekend weddings, you can have access to the barn anytime from noon on the Friday to set up. You and your guests can then access the house from 3pm.

We have a select number of mid-week weddings available throughout the year. Please give us a call to discuss your options in more detail.

As we are in the grounds of a working farm, pets are strictly not permitted within the venue or grounds.

Parking is available for approximately 50 cars. Please start at the top carpark near the shepherd huts and work your way forward

Yes, but we ask that they are collected on the day of departure by 10am. All vehicles lesft overnight are at the owners risk.

Due to our location, it is always best to pre-book taxis. We recommend Dougies, and Station Taxis who are local to us. Please see our Plan your Stay Page for more information.

The hire of the wedding barn includes:

  • Tables and chairs for up to 160 guests
  • A cake table/gift table
  • Use of wooden easel for table plan
  • Access to a fully stocked and staffed bar
  • Full heating within the barn and toilets
  • Beautiful ceiling drapes
  • Mezzanine chill-out area
  • External catering access
  • Use of the PA system for background music
  • Use of the front lawn for a drinks reception and photos
  • Dedicated events coordinator on the day of your wedding

You can decorate the barn however you wish (within reason)! We allow candles within flame covered holders, bunting and fairy lights to name a few. From large birch trees to a Midsummer’s Night Dream inspired barn, we have had some spectacular decorations. Take a look at our Love Stories and Inspiration pages for some ideas.

The barn can seat up to 160 guests comfortably, with capacity for 200 in total for the evening.

We are licensed until Midnight. If you wish, we can apply for a late license which extends the bar service until 1am, however this does incur an additional charge of £250.

We have four highchairs which would be available for you to use. Please let us know in advance if you require them.

Table linen is not included in the hire of the wedding barn. There will be an additional charge for linen Or you can upgrade your tables to linen  free rustic trestles for £300

Unfortunately not. The venue is within the grounds of a working farm and these would endanger our livestock. We do allow sparklers though which make for a fab night-time photo!

Yes, we are fully licensed for civil ceremonies.

For those of you who like the idea of an outdoor ceremony, the Lych Gate in the Courtyard and the Manor Lawn are both licensed for civil ceremonies. Alternatively, you may wish to say your vows in our Russset Ceremony Barn with oak whale bone arches and signature lighting. Visit the Civil Ceremonies page for further details.

Yes, you will need to book this directly through the Selby Registration Office.

All Saints Church is situated just down the road from us, in the village of Bolton Percy. You can even see the spire through the trees!

Yes, we do, outdoors as long as it is biodegradable

No, we do not have in-house caterers but can recommend some fantastic local caterers who we work with regularly. Please see our Recommended Suppliers page.

Of course, we are always happy for you to source your own – this gives you full control over your day.

We do not permit your own alcohol being brought into the barn, or being consumed throughout the wedding, and we do not offer corkage. We put together a drinks package for you and we have a really well-stocked bar which offers a wide range of wines, spirits and soft drinks, so there is sure to be something for everyone.

We invite all couples to a wine-tasting evening at Hornington Manor, where you can select the wines that you would like throughout your day. Our lovely Bar Manager, will set out the range of wines and talk you through each option, before you can choose a selection to try for yourself.

We have an extensive gin, whiskey and rum menu. However if you have an extra-special request, please speak to our Wedding Coordinators – we always aim to please.
