Katie & Rich’s Fabulous Day
The beautiful bride and groom had travelled all the way from Australia, and gathered in beautiful Yorkshire with all their family and friends to celebrate the love for each other. The sun shone all day, which really put a smile on Kate and Richard’s guests.
The Lovely Marianne & Liam’s Wedding
The day had arrived for the wonderful and lovely Marianne and Liam to wed. They had been planning their big day over two years, and in this time we and became firm friends with their visits to Hornington Manor. So, of course we were all equally excited for their day to begin. Marianne and Liam are a very local couple, Liam plays football professionally for Tadcaster Albion A.F.C, and his Dad was even an ex professional for Leeds United!
Claire & Andy’s Big Day
Claire and Andy’s big day had finally arrived – for some couples it’s been nearly two years in the planning, but for Claire and Andy they planned their wedding in only eight months! The sun didn’t shine over Hornington Manor, but it didn’t matter, the fantastic photographer, Helen Jane Smiddy Photography found so many lovely places for photos and the pictures look so beautiful! Just shows when you have a lovely couple and backdrop – you don’t need good weather!
Stacey and Pete’s Beautiful Day
We have never had two people so laid back and unflappable as Stacey and Pete. They were calm from the minute we saw them. They had no need to panic anyway as they had their big day planned perfectly to the last detail. The Hornington Wedding Barn again was decorated wonderfully and looked beautiful for their civil ceremony.
Natalie and Matthew
Weddings don't get much closer to fairy tales than that of Natalie and Matthew.
The Hornington Manor wedding barn was decorated with beautiful fresh flowers to compliment the themed colours that ran through the wedding. Ivy decorated the glorious chandeliers, it all looked amazing! The day thankfully was rain free, although the forecast said different.
The Wedding of Sara and Matt
For the wonderful wedding ceremony the guests headed over to the infamous wedding barn. The barn was decorated beautifully with fresh flowers, candles, and garlands of ivy.
Sara was a beautiful sight as she gracefully walked down the aisle with her bridesmaids to a stunning arch of flowers. Her husband-to-be, Matt, waited eagerly at the other end of the aisle.
As always the ceremony was expertly conducted and everyone applauded when they were announced Man and Wife.
Liz & Johnny’s Beautiful Day
Hornington Manor at this time of year is bustling with joy not only with our beautiful weddings, but for the new life it brings with the baby lambs.
On the morning of Johnny and Liz's wedding, the baby pet lambs had a special treat when Johnny came and gave a helping hand to feed them. This definitely helped calm Johnny’s nerves which were understandably taking hold. With the help of eight more of their guests, the pet lambs were soon fed and it was time to start the preparations for the day.
The Fab Friends4Dinner
Friends4Dinner really do stay true to their name! The local catering company which supplies lots of yummy food to our weddings and corporate events at Hornington Manor have been great friends to the Hornington team during our busy lambing period.
Laura & Sandip’s Wonderful Wedding
What a special day for a winter wedding! After the recent rain, the unexpected change in the weather meant it was wonderfully sunny. The ladies made a spectacular colourful array in their Sari’s and equally the royal blue gowns of the beautiful bridesmaids.
Mr & Mrs Graham…
This wedding from the start was full of laughter, love and joy.
My first duty was to find the groom and to introduce him to the ladies conducting the civil ceremony. I approached a group of guests to ask if they knew where he was – one of his friends who thought I’d said “Where is the broom”, replied “Well there is one in the cupboard in the main kitchen, and he will probably be in there”. Only my goodness he’s getting cold feet was my initial thought, and then of course he appeared with all smiles. Chris was watching the football, a match between Middlesbrough, which is his team, and Man
