Lou & Dan’s Beautiful Day
Lou and Dan arrived at Hornington Manor very chilled and ready to start the preparations for their wedding weekend. And boy, did they have a lot to prepare! Gift hampers went into every guest room with essentials for the weekend for the lucky friends and family staying in the house.
Alistair & Jess, ‘The Windies’
Alistair is a chef at the 3 Acres restaurant in Huddersfield, and actually met Jessica’s father, who is also a chef, before he met his beautiful bride. Love blossomed when Jessica got a part time job at the same restaurant as a waitress. After 10 years together Alistair proposed in Bruges.
The New Mr & Mrs Binham
Hannah and Mark were blessed with the most glorious sunshine on their big day, in true Hornington style. They enjoyed a lovely ceremony under the Lytch gate and Hannah looked every bit the beautiful bride as she walked down the aisle with her father. Wearing a stunning A line gown with gypsophelia bouquet from the fantastic Wild Floral Couture, she looked radiant. Simply Party Balloons had created two white heart balloon trees for either side of the Lytch gate which framed the ceremony perfectly.
Phil and Christine’s Perfect Day
Phil and Christine are the most amazing couple. They were so laid back (despite last minute suit dramas!) and couldn’t wait to become Mr and Mrs. They had hoped for beautiful weather for a front lawn ceremony and, in pure Hornington Manor style, the sun came out just for the occasion. The fantasy trees were the focal point for the civil ceremony, created by the florist at Blooming Fantastic. They framed the bride and groom, standing proud at the end of the aisle and were then brought into the wedding barn for the rest of the celebrations.
Celebrating the Lovely Jen & Chris
Jen and Chris live in London, but as Jen grew up just down the road from us, Hornington was the perfect venue for them. Our 19 beautiful bedrooms throughout the Manor were used by guests who had travelled from far and wide to celebrate their day.
Everything about Jen and Chris’ wedding was beautiful, from their table decorations of jam jars wrapped in string (curtesy of Jen’s mum) filled with delicate gypsophelia and white roses, to the glorious weather across the bank holiday weekend! Jen had chosen the most amazing lace gown with floor length veil.
Mr & Mrs Bull
Sarah’s family descend from Scotland originally, but Sarah has always lived in England. Sarah and Neil met in sixth form and have been together ever since; ten years together and two years engaged, true childhood sweethearts! Decorating the barn proved to be a real family team effort. Sarah’s mum, Anne, handmade all the bunting and even had enough spare to do another lap of the barn!
The Fabulous Emma & Marcos
The lovely Marcos and Emma, and their fabulous Ava, had been planning their special day with us at Hornington for months and months, and we were so excited when they moved in for their weekend of celebrations. Their dream wedding barn vision came true with the help of the wonderful Wedding Venue Lighting Company who supplied a curtain of twinkling fairy lights to frame the dancefloor and strings of blub lights across the whole barn. The space was totally transformed and the barn looked fantastic.
The fantastic Rebecca & Matty
Rebecca and Matty were the most fantastic couple and we were all so looking forward to their big wedding celebration arriving at Hornington Manor! The couple arrived with their nearest and dearest to set up and dress the wedding barn beautifully on the Friday morning and so shortly after lunch it was complete.
With the help of their venue stylist My Something Borrowed, who provided all of the exquisite props and decorations, it was all hands-on-deck, resulting in one of the quickest and least stressful set ups we’ve seen at Hornington Manor so far!
Emma & Lee’s Special Day
We have over sixty species of wild birds here at Hornington Manor, with eleven of them being on the threatened species list, and it is safe to say they were all in full song to wake Emma and Lee’s wedding guests!
The rain had not stopped all week until thankfully the Saturday morning, which was perfect timing as the preparations had well and truly begun. Everyone was busy getting ready, and ensuring everyone was perfect before they made their way to the church for the wonderful wedding ceremony.
Katie & Richard’s Big Day
The Wedding Party moved in on the Friday prior to the wedding and immediately the party mode was in full swing, as it too was Katie’s 30th birthday.
The wedding barn was decorated with beautiful sunflowers matching the glorious sunny weather for this special occasion, which were supplied by Katie’s Auntie.
Each table was named after roller coaster rides and the three tier wedding cake matched this fun theme by being amazingly shaped and decorated to replicate the Big Dipper ride. It even had Richard and Katie in fits of laughter hurtling down in one of the carriages.
