I have never seen anybody smile as much as Kayleigh did, from the moment she first set eyes on the Manor, to the morning she arrived with her family to set up her big day at the barn. Her long-awaited special day had finally arrived and Kayleigh was ecstatic she was going to marry her wonderful Matthew.
Rachel from Owl House Flowers had set a beautiful scene in the entrance of the barn by creating a wonderful tower of flowers, wowing guests as they arrived at the wedding.
Every little detail had been thought about, from the fine-looking vintage car which had been assigned the duty of transporting Kayleigh and her father to the Manor from their wedding ceremony at Bolton Percy church, even to the perfect weather for the open top ride.
Drinks and canapes, served on the front lawn, were awaiting the Bride and Groom and their guests, acoustically accompanied by Georgia Stakes, who entertained everybody with an array of ballads using her wonderful voice.
Alice from Homegrown Hospitality and Hog Roast, who is a regular here at Hornington Manor for weddings due to her delicious food, cooked the wedding guests a hog roast wedding breakfast along with a unique pork pie wedding cake, which was enjoyed later on in the day.
Our wonderful Miss Friday created the most heavenly puddings which were served in the courtyard under the Lychgate, giving everybody the opportunity to take a seat, stretch their legs, deliberate over what pudding to choose and dare I say, go back for seconds.
The entertainment didn’t stop at Georgina Stakes. Jonny Ross and his band took the wedding party into the early hours – Hornington Wedding Barn was alive with the sound of the band. Guests took to the dance floor, with some spilling outside, where they enjoyed the canopy of twinkling fairy lights arranged across the courtyard. Everybody was enjoying themselves and soaking up the atmosphere, with fun and laughter filling the air, but nobody was as happy as Mr and Mrs Tinsley.
