Claire and Mark met while they were both on holiday in Budapest. It was love at first sight, and after sharing their first kiss outside a kebab shop, they were inseparable. Flash forward 3 years and the pair were back in Budapest on holiday together and Mark asked Claire to be his wife. They planned their perfect wedding weekend at Hornington for 18 months and before we knew it, their wedding day had arrived.
Claire was absolutely stunning in her fitted lace gown which she paired with a gorgeous floor length veil, and her three Bridesmaids Lindsey, Alex and Holly wore lovely gowns in sage green which tied in perfectly with the bouquets, Mark’s tie and pocket square, and stationery for the day.
The ceremony was being held in Bolton Percy All Saints Church. Mark waited for his Bride to arrive in a beautiful vintage Rolls Royce. During the ceremony, the Bride and Groom’s friend Rob, read a passage from Philippians, which was extra special as Rob was to thank for Claire and Mark meeting; he had picked Budapest for he and Mark to visit.
The newlyweds walked put of the Church to Rusted Root’s ‘Send Me on My Way’ before they made their way back to Hornington. The sun was shining and everyone enjoyed reception drinks on the front lawn and were entertained with the brilliant wedding themed crazy golf from Crazy 9 which was later moved the courtyard to use throughout the evening as everyone loved it so much!
Inside the Wedding Barn, everything was looking beautiful. The tables were topped with blossom trees and candelabras, their seating plan was displayed on clear Perspex hanging from a copper frame and their amazing cake was surrounded with foliage and balloons.
Mark thanked all their family and friends for celebrating with them, and his gorgeous intelligent wife for marrying him. Ross, Mark’s Best Man, shared stories of their 20 years of friendship and asked everyone to raise a glass to his two favourite people in the world who have just become Husband and Wife.
Guests were then treated to an amazing authentic Brazilian menu from the fabulous Outside Kitchen. Each guest had a red and green card which told the waiters if they wanted more meat or if they were stuffed. The meats were habanero and pineapple chicken thighs, honey and orange belly pork, garlic rump steak, and both chorizo and pork sausages. The feast continued outside later in the evening with a traditional Hungarian dish served to guests as a reference to where they met.
As evening fell, everyone took to the dancefloor to watch Claire and Mark’s first dance to George Ezra’s ‘Hold My Girl’. The song quickly changed to ‘Budapest’ which was a huge hit with guests and so fitting for our couple. It was such a fantastic day, from start to finish and we wish Claire and Mark all the luck and love in the world on their adventure as Mr and Mrs.
