What a special day for a winter wedding! After the recent rain, the unexpected change in the weather meant it was wonderfully sunny. The ladies made a spectacular colourful array in their Sari’s and equally the royal blue gowns of the beautiful bridesmaids.

Laura looked every inch the perfect bride, with soft barrel curls in a half up effect and roses in her hair. She wore the most stunning dress of satin and lace with a floating train which enhanced the detailed back as she walked down the aisle to meet her husband. She walked down the aisle to the sweet music of “First day of my life” by Bright eyes.

The ceremony was a happy occasion with the exchanging of their rings and vows to each other. One of Laura’s lovely bridesmaids Megan recited Foxtrot from a play by W H Auden.

“The soldier loves his rifle,

The scholar loves his books,

The farmer loves his horses,

The film star loves her looks,

There’s love the whole world over

Wherever you may be:

Some lose their rest for gay Mae West,

But you’re my cup of tea.

Some talk of Alexander

And some of Fred Astaire,

Some like their heroes hairy

Some like them debonair,

Some prefer a curate

And some an A.D.C.,

Some like a tough to treat’ em rough,

But you’re my cup of tea.”

The Guests were then treated to a celebratory drink and chat which is essential for Sandip and Laura’s friends and family who had travelled a lot of miles to be in attendance at this special occasion.

The wedding barn was then ready for the guests to sit and enjoy the fabulous Pakora’s and curry banquet prepared by Apna Khana. It looked and smelt amazing, with an array of curries to please the guests.

Wonderful speeches were told of how Laura and Sandip met on a night out with chief bridesmaid Gemma. Love was definitely in the air that night as cupid’s arrow drove our lovely couple together after Sandip won Laura’s heart with his amazing dancing skills!

Laura’s sister Emma spoke of the couple’s kind, loyal and generous nature and how so very proud the Bower family are to honour Sandip into their family. Sandip’s best men Jack and Deep, with the longevity of their childhood friendships nurtured throughout school, university and adulthood had the last words of the Speeches. “Love, Life Laughter and Happy ever after”

The whole day and evening was a great success, with tasty food and lovely company. All the guests looked like they had wonderful time. On behalf of the whole team at Hornington Manor, I’d like to wish Laura and Sandip all the happiness in the world for the rest of their married life.
